SERVE - FELLOWSHIP - LOVE

The heart of ASCEND is to glorify God by needing Jesus, trusting His ways, growing deeper in relationship with Him, and to SERVE one another and our community generously.

 
We have an opportunity to model for our children how to link arms with other families, friends, and community, serve others in need and ultimately point them toward Jesus. 
 

We want to be the hands, feet of Jesus.  We serve each other and our community to magnify God's love for us.

That’s why serving is in our mission statement and remains a primary focus.  

 

Galatians 15:13 - “For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through LOVE, serve one another.”

We’re so passionate about serving and making an impact together, we’ve built serving into our calendar. Every month, we have service projects planned together as a group.  

Our families have opportunities, weekly, monthly, and seasonally, to get involved with Food for Hope, food banks and Cold Weather Care programs.  We will continue to offer serving opportunities throughout the summer and winter months.
 

One of the plainest expressions of love in Scripture is FELLOWSHIP—sharing with others. Together, we share our time, talents, and energy serving others as the Body of Christ. 

John 15:13 - Greater LOVE has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends. Our children’s faith grows in serving others and they witness how Jesus moves in their own lives and the lives of others.

1 Peter 4:10 - Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to SERVE others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.
